Consumer credit

The consumer credit unit has six separate functional teams: borrower acquisitions; fraud-detection and KYC/AML; underwriting; scoring and pricing; and loan servicing and support. Each team is comprised  of technical and business people responsible for achieving the respective functional area’s objectives.

The consumer credit unit, with 26 full-time employees, is managed by a four-member management team with marketing, technology, credit operations and credit risk backgrounds. The Head of Borrower Product is responsible for the user experience and marketing through online and offline channels and is one of the most experienced online marketers in Estonia. The Head of Borrower Technology oversees engineering within the unit and is a leading technical architect who previously worked at Microsoft and various enterprise software houses. The Head of Servicing is a banker with extensive experience in consumer lending, leasing and insurance product development who held various leadership positions at Swedbank, the leading Swedish retail bank, over two decades. The Head of Credit Risk has extensive experience developing credit models and internal capital adequacy algorithms for banks, including Swedbank, leasing providers and non-bank consumer lenders.

Credit risk-related activities are supported by six data engineers, including one PhD (in economics), two PhD candidates (in machine learning/computer science), and three senior software engineers.
