Partial payouts

Frequently Asked Questions

When do we initiate partial payouts?
To ensure we deliver on our promise to investors of a return of up to 6.75%* p.a., we have built in a feature to initiate partial payouts on your withdrawals when needed. This is an automated process that protects your net return and gives you the added benefit of continued stability.

As a core feature of Go & Grow, you don’t have to worry about how fluctuations in the underlying portfolio will impact your return over time. The partial payout protection feature gives investors peace of mind and an added layer of security in times of uncertainty.

Does the pending money generate a return?

Yes, any remaining money which was not successfully withdrawn still earns a net return of up to 6.75% p.a.*, and will continue to until the withdrawal has completed.

Does the withdrawal of €1 apply once or multiple times?

The withdrawal fee only applies once and is taken after you've received the full payment, regardless of whether the withdrawal is completed in parts.

How often are the partial payouts made?

Payments are made on each banking day and will be paid to your main Bondora account.

What is the main Bondora account?

If you haven’t used any products other than Go & Grow, you may not have seen this before. In your main Bondora account, you can keep an available balance which you can use to either invest or withdraw at any time. All partial payouts will be made directly to your main Bondora account.

If you want to withdraw the balance, click on the ‘Withdraw’ tab and follow the steps.

How do you decide who gets a withdrawal first?

Everybody gets a share based on the available amount in the Go & Grow portfolio and their withdrawal amount. As a percentage, the amount distributed is equal for everyone.

What if I have multiple Go & Grow accounts or a joint account?

Each withdrawal request is handled the same way, so it makes no difference.

How can I cancel a pending withdrawal?

On your Go & Grow dashboard page, you’ll see an info box called ‘Pending withdrawals’ and a cancel button next to it. Click the cancel button to cancel any outstanding withdrawals.

How can I see my main account balance?

Look for the ‘Main account balance’ box on your Go & Grow dashboard page. This gives you the live balance figure available to invest or withdraw.

How does the partial payout show on my tax report?

There are no changes to how you see withdrawals on your tax report. It will only show the money withdrawn in the specified period.

I’m using a product other than Go & Grow, are my withdrawals impacted?

No, the liquidity measures described above only apply to Go & Grow.

Can I continue to use my account?

Everything remains the same with your Go & Grow account, with the exception that liquidity is not instant.

Are partial payouts necessary?

When we originally built Go & Grow, we knew we had to make a service which was functional at all times, not just in the good times. That’s why we built-in a recession-proof feature called partial payouts.

After launching Bondora in 2008, we saw first hand how a financial crisis can severely impact the value of your assets. Our experience taught us that crisis environments usually trigger large sell-offs of traditional investments because banks and funds need cash. As a result, the market value of these traditional assets can drop dramatically in a short period of time. This triggers losses for both the investors looking for cash, as well as those who decide to keep their portfolio intact. In this scenario, it’s possible to see banks and investment funds go under, not to mention individual investors who try to time the stock market.

Even if a relatively small segment of the global financial market wants to quickly convert their assets into cash, then all investors who continue to hold these traditional assets will suffer losses. Therefore, guaranteeing instant liquidity in crisis environments destroys the wealth for everyone involved.

We’ve been prepared for uncertain times since the inception of Go & Grow. That’s why partial payouts are a key component in protecting stable returns for investors, no matter the circumstance. For Go & Grow investors, liquidity is generated by the underlying portfolio of more than 125,000 personal loans making thousands of payments each day.

*As with any investment, your capital is at risk and the investments are not guaranteed. The yield is up to 6.75%. Before deciding to invest, please review our risk statement or consult with a financial advisor if necessary.
